Clicker

VSGIS provides students with clickers (student response systems) used by
prestigious American universities such as Harvard and Columbia to be used during classes.

What is a Clicker?

Clicker is a piece of hardware and software that helps you learn efficiently:

Teachers ask students multiple choice questions via textbook problems or computer projectors.

Students use the clickers to input the correct answer to a question, and a receiver connected to the classroom computer receives a record of the correct and incorrect answers entered by the student via radio frequency signals and records the data.

The teacher displays the record of the correct and incorrect answers entered by the students on the lecture screen and displays the choices through a chart.

Provides explanations for the correct and incorrect answers to the students.

Answers entered via clicker can only be checked by the teacher. Students receive an accurate explanation of each answer choice and receive immediate feedback from the teacher, and records of correct and incorrect answer choices for each question are saved so that students' weaknesses can be analyzed.

The answers for students in the Advance class are commonly divided between 2 answer choices (GREEN above). When this happens, they will be given the opportunity to solve the question again. If all the students happen to choose the right answer, it is understood that all students understand and the class moves on to the next question to cover more content. This allows the students in the Advance class to engage more questions thereby broadening their learning experience and utilizing the full extent of their class time.

The answers for students in the Basic class are commonly spread out (example above). When this happens, the teacher is able to quickly identify the wrong answers the students have chosen. This allows the teacher to address the wrong answers by thoroughly explaining them to the students.

Advantages of using a Clicker

Enhance students' concentration in class and encourage active participation. When students enter their answers using the clickers, their answer choices will be displayed on the screen. Students cannot do anything else during class and will have to manually press their answers on the clicker, improving concentration while naturally promoting class participation.

After answering, the screen will display the correct and incorrect answers for the entire class in percentages. With the student response system that allows you to check the percentage of correct and incorrect answers, students will receive immediate feedback from the teacher without the need for additional questions.

All of the correct and incorrect answers entered by students are recorded on the computer. Based on this statistical data, each individual student’s academic level can be analyzed to see if he/she is placed in the appropriate class, allowing him/her to receive class recommendations tailored to their academic level. Parents can rest assured that their children are adjusting to class accordingly.
